Check out Front Street Bakery in Rockville Centre (located right across from the LIRR train station) Their website is http://frontstreet.kpsearch.com/df/default.asp

They are DELICIOUS and have soooo many options for fillings, outside, etc. This is where my sister got her cake from (I believe it was about $150 for her cake). They are affordable, can do whatever you ask, and will even bring it to WM for you!

After seeing the input to my post, I think I am better off just going with an outside bakery for the cake that I know is going to taste delicious! I will definitely use them.

We used Baked to Perfection in Pt. Washington. The cake was absolutely delicious! We had the extra cake cut and packaged for the guests to bring home and it all disappeared before we could get any for ourselves to take. Each layer was yellow cake - chocolate mousse - yellow cake - raspberry preserves - yellow cake - chocolate mousse - yellow cake. The icing was buttercream but everyone thought it was fondant. I am getting my cake through with my reception but Dortoni's in Levittown on Hempstead Turnpike is amazing.
