For those who did twilight hours..

If you did twilight hours (meaning having a reception in the early evening like 2-7 or 3-8 type thing), did your other vendors like dj, photographer, florist charge you more because of this time slot?

TIA!!!

Re: For those who did twilight hours..

My invitation time says 4, for a 4:30 ceremony (reception ends at 10:30). I wanted to do a twilight reception. My vendors aren't charging me more, but a lot of reception sites I talked with wanted to charge a surcharge to start before 6 (or 7 in some cases).

The DJ, videographer, and photographer were booked on a hourly package deal, so it didn't make a difference. My photographers will be arriving at 1:30.

HTH!

Re: For those who did twilight hours..

I didn't have those kinds of hours, but I would think that vendors MAY charge more. By working those hours, it's impossible for them to do another function that day. I'm sure many vendors usually do two weddings a day, so that would cut out of their profit.

Re: For those who did twilight hours..

My wedding is a twilight wedding and while I was quoted more for some vendors because of that fact, I did not booked them because they wanted to charge me more. The only place I did pay more for was my reception. I have the place for the entire day and no one else is allowed to use it. This way I can relax.

Photographers are usually with you the whole day, so they wouldn't charge extra.....

Florists get you your flowers in the morning anyway, so they wouldn't charge extra....

Maybe the only ones who could justify it are your hall if they could have accommodated another party, and your DJ who may miss out on a double, but I doubt they would....
