Good idea for grooms cake?
My FH loves football probably almost as much as he loves me....LOL. I was thinking about getting a Giants cake for our rehearsal dinner and than getting little football sugar cookies for favors with a tag that says "catch of a lifetime." Do you guys think this is a stupid idea? I ran it by FH and he just thinks I am wacky but he does think its a cute idea.

HA.. i love it.. i was thinking doing the same thing for the rehersal dinner Giants helmet cake.. but i am not telling him (minus the cookies) but love the idea!!!
My FH thinks I am wacky with everything, but likes them!
Go for it!

Thanks. Yeh, I just mentioned it to him. But if I decide to do it I probably won't tell him. I think its a cute idea. Definetely different.

I'm torn between doing a Yankees cake or a Giants cake for him. I'm leaning towards Giants because we're both Giants fans / ticket season holders (I didn't go to today's game though) and I'm a Mets fan.
I love the sugar cookie idea! Very fun and cute!

Either -- in the south it is usually served at the wedding. A lot more people in the northeast do it at the RD. I'm doing it at the RD and it will be a surprise for my FH!

I think it's a great idea! I was actually going to do the same thing for my Giants fan I was thinking of doing a groom's cake of Giant's stadium. I love the cookie idea..if I didn't have a favor already It would be a great option!
