Catholic Churches!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

Well, its under a year away and im having trouble finding a roman catholic church i like. I want a big church, with possibly a nice outside, sort of a cathedral type feeling to it.

Does anyone know of any or have any pics to post so i can see?

I live in nassau county, but id go to suffolk just not that far out of course, im getting married in woodbury.

Thanks!!

St Thomas the Apostle in West hempstead is absolutely beautiful. It has one of the longest aisles on Long Island and had beauitful long steps outside that are wonderful for pictures!

How about St. Killian's in Farmingdale?

There is also St. Ignatius in Hicksville, which is big and cathedral-ish but there isn't really a nice outside.

There is a GORGEOUS church in Jericho on either Route 106 or 107 where my cousin was married. I can't remember the name but it is gorgeous both inside and out. If you're interested in the Jericho area I'll definitely find out the name for you.

A lot of churches won't let you get married there unless you or FH are parishoners.

Re: Catholic Churches!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

you'll need to become a parishoner if you want to get married at a particular church, so be aware of that going in.

Did you look at St. Patricks in Huntington yet? It's huge and has a long aisle.

Re: Catholic Churches!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

You can check out St. Brigid in Westbury or St. Agnes in Rockville Center and St. Boniface in Elmont. The last two have 100 feet aisles, so it's long. I'm getting married at St. Boniface and they do weddings for non-parishoners sometimes because they have plenty of people that go there because of the church--it's circular with lots of stained glass and a huge aisle.

St. Patricks in baay shore. non-member is $955 without pre-cana. Book your pre-cana early becasue its cheaper than the 250 from the diocese!!!

There is a church in Garden City that is gorgeous. I think it is St. Ann's but Im not sure.
Most Catholic Churches won't marry you unless you are a member of their parish or have a family member who is a member.
Good Luck

Please note, not all churches require that you be a member. Me and FH are not members of the catholic church we are getting married in.
