I only have one BM, my sister, so we are going to go shopping in the spring for her dress. I would think that April would be a little late for the BM dresses ... maybe Feb is better?
I think it depends on a few things -- where are you getting them from? How long do they say they will take to come in? (I would add a month or two onto this in case they are late ... ) Do you expect the girls to have a lot of alterations? I am lucky I guess - all of the BM dresses I've needed to wear fit without almost any alternations, but some girls need a lot, so you need more time .... but I am a worry-wart, so I would want them in by July at the latest just so I know that they are IN.

I've done or about to do just about the same as you.
- I have my RH and dress. :)
- I am going to a showcase for my band next week and think we will book them on the spot (I've already heard their stuff, talked to the band leader a lot, etc.).
- I am going to make photog appts today for the next 2 weeks or so (all the ones I want are available! YEAH!).
- I have a good idea of what I want for flowers but I do not need to order yet ... I am only getting 2 bo-ks (I only have one BM, my sis), a few corsages and very, very simple table arrangements. I am getting silk bouts.
- I am going to start looking into an officiant in Nov or so. (getting married at the RH)
I do not think you are missing anything!

So far I've got my dress, my garter and booked the RH, the photographers, limos, flowers, D.J.
I still have to get BM dresses, my veil and shoes, and pick out invites.
I've been buying all the extra fun stuff: The cake topper, my card holder, and engraved toasting flutes and cake server.

Don't you love when family gives you things for free?? My invites are free through FH's uncle! I want veryt simple invites though, so if we weren't getting them for free, I would make them myself.
Re Limos, I think we only need one, for my sister and parents and I - to take us from my parents' house to the ceremony site / RH (same place). I wanted to get ready at the RH but my mom insists on my getting ready at her house, whatever, not worth fighting over :)
FH's family may need a limo, but I think they will probably get ready at the hotel next door, since FH's parents are moving to FL this month and his brother already lives down there, so they will be staying in a hotel anyhow.
I need shoes, tiara, a veil and earrings (I am not wearing a necklace as my dress is very elaborate near the neckline and it would be too much) and I have been looking online / in stores for a while, but I am in no rush.

Hey all..October Bride, and I don't think I have a date twin either...10/10/08!
I got my RH, Dress, photographer, DJ, Videographer, Florist and I think that is it....
will do limo's, officiant and then take a break (ya right!)...i am finding that invitations are going to be the death of me....i just can't decide.

Me too! I am here also. October 12, 2008!
So far I got my RH, church, photo and video. I am going this Saturday to look for my dress and I am going to go late Oct/early Nov for BM dresses. One of my girls is pregnant, so we might as well get fitted now before she gets too big But I am order tons of gifts and keepsakes online. There are so many great things!
