Another returd ?? about colors and bm dresses..

ok, so my colors are ivory and gold.. I'm wearing ivory.. my invites are ivory and gold.. my girls dresses are a soft gold.. I'd really like my sister to stand out on my wedding day (she' MOH) When I go to order the bm dreses, I'd like to order her gown in a dif color.. now.. what color could I get her? I wouldn't care if I got her ivory.. but I dunno if it would look nice? any thoughs.

Have picked the BM's dresses? I saw some nice two piece dresses, you could do gold top and skirt for the BM's and an ivory top gold skirt for your sister?

Just an idea - you can order her the same gown but she can stand out with an accessory - like an ivory sash around her neck and falling down her back. You could even put gold beads on it to tie it all together.

Or a darker gold?

Or since the dresses are seperates can't you do top gold and bottom ivory?

ooooh great idea!! perhaps the ivory top with the gold skirt?? OMG! I never thought of that!! thankies guys!so what do you think would look better? ivory skirt/gold top or vice versa? here is the dress all in the gold..

as for a sash or something for her to wear, my sister is a pain in the arse and doesn't like to wear anything like that... I LOVE to but she doesn't

I'm with Jennbaby on this one.... that gold you're using is so light to begin with... I don't think you'll appreciate the contrast with an ivory bottom, gold top or vice versa... If you went with DARKER skirt I think it would work better....

Or use a darker shade of gold...

I was going to say, what about a different dress. Keep the color scheme but let her dress be different. Just make sure fabrics match.

Hey Tara!! No, I'm going to surprise her!! I'm also getting her a bouquet with all gerbera daises, which are her favorite!! hehe..

Hey BTW, I tried on my hoop skirt last night and remember I told you I was going to have to have granny sew in ruffles! Well holy s h it !! it's HUGE!! lol Def get it if you want it extra full!

I had the same color bridesmaid dresses!
We didn't like any of the other colors that the dress came in, so I had my maid of honors flowers done up similar to mine & I had her wear a wrap & the other bridesmaids didn't.
They had light yellow & dark blue flowers. They came out very pretty!

Do they have a different style top that your MOH can wear? If so, she can wear a different top in ivory or in gold.
