Greece honeymooners?
Have my heart set on Greece - thinking something like NY to Athens and then Santorini and Mykonos - back to Athens and home. Which travel agents did you guys use and what kind of total $ amount is it coming to? Feel free to FM if you don't feel like posting. Thanks for any insights!!

Re: Greece honeymooners?
We are going to Greece- Mykonos, Santorini and Athens.
We will be there for just under 2 weeks. All in, with the way the $ is moving, we are spending a lot, but I knew that this was going to be a blowout honeymoon.
I planned the trip my self. Tripadvisor.com was very helpful. We are staying at Mykonos Grand. Ikies in Santorini and Eridanus in Athens.
Feel free to FM for more info. I am really excited, I have always wanted to go to Greece!

Re: Greece honeymooners?
We're also in the process of planning our honeymoon to Greece for next year. I'm almost definite that our itinerary will be for 2 weeks to Athens, Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, and then back to Athens for a day or two. I'm almost set on hotels as well. I also used tripadvisor.com which is SUPER helpful!!!
Please FM me for any more details if you like and best of luck!

Re: Greece honeymooners?
Hey! I went to Greece last year for my HM. We did 2 nights Athens, 3 nights Santorini, 4 nights Mykonos, 1 more night in Athens on the way home.
We stayed at Davani Palace in Greece, SunRocks in Santorini, and Mykonos Palace in Mykonos.
It was a beautiful trip. I booked it through Liberty Travel. I did compare prices on my own, and it was the same as using Travelocity etc. But Liberty included all the transfers ect. It was nice to not worry about anything. I used Elani in Massapequa Park office. She was extremely helpful being she is greek and goes there alot.

Re: Greece honeymooners?
Hi - we're going flying into Athens and then heading to Crete for 5 days, Santorini for 3 days, and then back to Athens for one day and night, leaving early the next day.
I planned it all myself w/o using a travel agent. I also recommend trip advisor as well as the Frommer and Fodors travel forums for greece. FM me if you want info on where we're staying.
If you want to go w/o a travel agent, the transfers are all pretty easy to book on your own. Aegean Airlines and Olympic airlines are the 2 most popular inter island airlines to travel. As for ferries, if you google "greek ferries" your first hit will be a website that gives you all the schedules. (FYI, the main port from Athens is Pireus, and Santorini is Thira)
As for expense, the $ next to the Euro isn't doing so well - so it will be expensive. Our flight was in the $1K each price range. For accommodations, there are places to stay at all price ranges. We're splurging, but if you can't, you're still going to be in a beautiful setting.
Hope that helps!
