I need help!

Hello fellow brides, I need some help !
My fiance and I are paying for our wedding ourselves and need a venue that is reasonable. We can't afford an expensive wedding but I still want great food and a beautiful experience. Any suggestions on the best venues for a bride with a budget??
P.S. we will probably have about 150 guests.

Re: I need help!

FH & I are paying for our wedding ourselves as well. We went and looked at the Metropolitan & they gave us an amazing price, great food and a great place, but we are having 200+ so it would be a little tight for us! I definetly recommend looking at it!

Re: I need help!

Here are some places that are affordable and (I believe) will accommodate your guest list:

George Washington Manor (great food! and great service!)
Coral House (never eaten there, so I don't know about food)
Douglaston Manor (good food.)
The Riviera (place is gorgeous-haven't tried the food)

I would def second the Coral House and the Rivera. I went to two weddings there this summer and both were awesome, food and all.

also try Westbury Manor. They give great rates and you can always try a Thursday night. It saves a ton of money and u still get the wedding of your dreams. FM me if u want info! good luck

For a daytime Saturday wedding, you will get an awesome deal at Jericho Terrace. I priced a few places and for the amount of things that you get, the price is very reasonable!

Coral House - I had my wedding there and their prices are reasonable. The food is great and the staff are helpful. They give you so many extras and definitely worth your money. My guests are still raving about our wedding.

FM if you have any other questions.

Re: I need help!

hmmm, i noticed you chose a Saturday...

if you aim for Friday or Sunday - you will see a major difference in prices - no matter what time of year.. like for March - it was a $15-$20 difference on a Saturday----multipy that by # of your guests - you can add that savings to photography..

Mon - Thurs - --- major savings but my problem is that if you are paying for a 90min and only 60people show - there is a chance you will pay for empty seats... but if they love you, they will show - but there is a still a chance... thats just my opinion...

I agree with Melvin - you can have your dream wedding w/ a budget but somethings gotta give... you dont have to sacrifice it all but a few adjustments here or there will make a major diff in your budget....

trust, you'll find a venue - it just a matter of what you are willing to bend to make it work :) plus the girls on here are AWESOME...

My sister got married at the CH in January... and since i was only 12 the one thing i remember was how it was decorated for winter and the holidays... and it was one of the reasons i chose CH myself

FH and I are in the same situation. We are having about 150 guest and are paying for everything ourselves!! I booked with Floral Terrace since they were reasonable and included so much in the contract!! Where are you looking to have your reception? Are you looking to be the only wedding?? If it's in Nassau and you want to be the only bride, give them a call and see if you like them. BTW the food is amazing, and so is the bakery they use!!!!!!!

HTH!!

I might be biased but I COMPLETELY agree with this! We're getting SO much, for a Sunday night wedding of Labor Day weekend we're paying less then $100 per head (before tax and gratuity)
