How many places did you look at?

Just curious to see how many places everyone looked at before they booked their RH!

We went to the JT Showcase last night and we have been to 2 amazing weddings there already....so we are really leaning towards them!

We went to about 10 places, having been to a few for functions that we eliminated and didn't bother visiting... and wound up choosing the first place we went to.

We looked at 7, but technically 6 b/c one place ignored us for 40 minutes AND we had an appt. They never even apologized until we walked out the door.

i went to one haha. They had everything I wanted and the price was right, and it was a mile from our apartment. Sold!

I used to work for a photography studio on LI so I've pretty much seen every RH there is. When it actually came time to look for my own wedding, I only went to the Riviera because I have never been there before or heard of it and I fell in love instantly. So, just the one

I live in Ohio, so I researched a ton before I went to LI to book a RH. I called a lot of places and asked questions, but I only -looked- at three. It was pretty funny because I remember FH saying "wow, it's so weird how all of these places fit into our price range and they are all so nice." He didn't realize I did so much research beforehand .

We just looked at two. We fell in love with the first place, and just went to a second because I felt some sort of obligation to look at at least one other place for comparison!

Only 3. FH used to work valet so he's seen them all in Suffolk (and dealt with the managers/owners!) and Nassau was out of the question. I researched dozens though. I disliked windows on the lake (the manager guy just somehow turned me off and they were selling some package), majestic gardens was meh, but VC gave me a giddy feeling and FH always liked the place and the ppl that work there. So it was a pretty easy choice after sorting through tons on the internet and mags and getting emailed quotes!

We looked at 4, but had appointments at 6. After we saw the first 4, we just got frustrated and lazy and decided we'd pick amongst them, and cancelled the other 2 appointments. We knocked one out of contention right off the bat, then went back and visited the other 3 with FH's parents one more time, then decided on our RH ultimately when FH was out of the country on family vaca and I went back and booked with my parents.

We probably would have still chosen the RH we are with, but part of me wishes I would have been more active on the boards first, because I have never heard of some RHs that I probably would have been recommended to go see that now I would have loved to take a look at. But I didn't start posting actively until after we started looking at RHs and were pretty set in our choices. But I'm going to live vicariously when FBIL gets engaged so I can suggest all those places to them

We looked at 13 and booked #12!!

1. George Washington Manor
2. Sans Souci
3. Westbury Manor
4. Fox Hollow
5. Douglaston Manor
6. Woodlands

I LOVED Westbury Manor the first time I saw it, but I wanted to look at a couple more just to be sure.

we went to 15 placed but when we found the RH, we KNEW it was the "one"

so 6, if you feel good about your choice go for it, if you think you want other options then keep looking

So far we have only looked at 2.

This weekend we have appointments to look at 3 more..

Then next weekend 2 more..

Its hard bcuz FH works 6 days a week until 8pm so really sunday is the only day we have to look at RH's but hopefully after next weekend we can make a decision!

Only 2 but if I could do it all over again I would definately look at more......I found out about some others halls on this site and I wouldn't have to have gone over budget and or sacfrice my night wedding for an afternoon wedding to get a good price. I suggest research places on here and keep looking. If you did that and JT is still the one for you I say go for it....but get going now b/c sometimes certains dates book up quickly
