My sister is going to make a cake for one of the beautiful brides on this board... and we are going to do a sample of part of the cake today so she can make sure she is able to do it... and charges the right amount for it... sooo

What type of cake are you having? What colors, flavors? Are you doing something other than a cake?

Post pics of your cake or the type of cake you want!!


My sister cant do my cake because she is going be too busy to do it... obviously since shes my MOH... so either my aunt is making it, or im just going to use a cake provided by the CH. I don't know yet.

I definitely want chocolate cake, with buttercream icing though.

right now i am thinking that I want something simple yet elegant....a round 4 layer cake with white fondant and black ribbon the bottom of each layer. then flowers and/or a monogram topper on top.

as far as flavors...i am not a cake person but LOVE red velvet so I will be pushing for that but we'll see what happens when it comes time to do a cake tasting.

our RH provides the cake, so we are constrained by what they offer.

I do want something very simple, incorporating our colors of white and green. not sure what yet
I do know that I want butter cream frosting - I can eat that non stop

maybe something like this minus the flowers (dont want flowers on my cake)

We are going to use the cake that the RH provides. We havent figured out what kind yet. Neither one of us are cake eaters so this is something im really not sure about.

Want something simple and classic. I would want buttercream instead of fondant though. And as for fillings, the only one FH and I can agree on is cannoli.

I am doing a really simple 4 layer white fondant cake. I haven't decided flavor yet, but I know I do not want any fruit or chocolate (I know I am weird, I am not the biggest chocolate fan) My florist will be putting lavender hydrangeas on it. Kinda like this.

I would love to have a cake that follows my cherry blossom theme. I love these 2 cakes that I posted pics of (especially the first!!!). I just hope they aren't too expensive!!!

I have no idea what flavor or fillings I would like.

We're using the RH's bakery. We saw pictures when we booked of heart shaped tiers. The filling is still under dispute, I mean discussion. I love chocolate and cherries (Black Forest) FH is a vanilla and canolli kinda guy. I'm sure a compromise will be made. Then again, who cares??? I'll only have one bite, I'm wayyyyy too interested in the 1 1/2 hour vienese spread.

I am probably using the cake that the RH provides, and maybe adding a few things to it.. I think russos has a choice of 12 types of cakes...

I think I want stracciatella cake with cream cheese filling...but I haven't decided for sure.
