Rabbi Torey Bowen

Interviewed Sep 22, 2009

What type of services do you offer?

I am happy to officiate at Jewish and interfaith weddings. I can help create a ceremony that reflects the religions of the bride and groom, as well as adding other special touches representing each person's nationality.

I will also happily preside over your vow renewal ceremony, which is especially touching when a couple wants to reconfirm a commitment.

In addition, baby-namings, as well as any milestone of life, which can be imbued with a spiritual touch. For example: special blessings for anniversaries.

What types of “religious” ceremonies can you perform?

As I noted…I can officiate at both Jewish and Interfaith ceremonies and can do everything from weddings to post wedding celebrations and milestone events that warrant a spiritual overtone.

How far in advance should a couple book with you?

Of course, a few months is preferable, however, I was asked to perform my very first interfaith wedding (my first wedding ever) the DAY OF… and, it went fantastically.

Do you have any special requirements for marrying a couple?

No, I don’t.
